TouchDesigner Video Feedback Crash Course is an interactive workshop that lays out the basics of making and harnessing video feedback using TouchDesigner. Video feedback has been a critical element of video art since the 1960s. Video feedback in its most basic form involves pointing a camera at a monitor displaying its own output, but also encompasses any video system where the input and output are connected in a self-influencing feedback loop. TouchDesigner is a node-based visual coding environment focused on interactive multimedia art. Students are encouraged to download TouchDesigner ahead of time and bring their laptops, mouse (a mouse is critical, please bring a mouse), and any questions about video art.
The workshop is held on Saturday April 13th at Heavy Manners Library, located at 1200 N Alvarado St Unit D, Los Angeles, CA 90026. Tickets are $15 but no one is turned away for lack of funds
