Ambar Navarro is a Mexican-American filmmaker and artist from San Antonio, TX based in Los Angeles. She began creating films as a teen while taking community classes at the Austin Film School and later earned a B.F.A. from the California Institute of the Arts in Experimental Animation. Since graduating Navarro has specialized in working with musicians on music videos, photography, and music related branded work. She has worked with labels and brands such as Doc Martens, Moog, Warner Bros, and Atlantic Records. Her videos carry on vibrant fictional worlds mainly shot on film with narratives in the genre of fantasy and horror. Her works have premiered on publications such as Nylon, NPR, and Rolling Stone.
